Term 4 Cocurricular
Our Term 4 Cocurricular program was shared with families this week. You can view all details on Firefly, where each activity is linked with further details, contact information and booking instructions.
At St Peters, we’re proud to offer a wide range of activities that support student wellbeing, personal growth, and social connection. While we encourage participation, we also value balance. Unstructured play and downtime are just as important, helping children recharge, build resilience, and develop independence.
We encourage families to take a balanced approach when selecting activities, so students have the time and energy to engage meaningfully.

Primary Track & Field Updates
It has been a fantastic Track & Field season for our Primary students!
48 students represented St Peters at the Inter-Lutheran Track & Field Championships, where we finished 2nd overall. Our students performed superbly throughout the day and represented the College with great pride. It was also wonderful to see several Year 3 students compete for St Peters for the first time.
At the JGSA Track & Field Championships, 20 girls from Years 5 and 6 represented the College, finishing 5th overall and an impressive 3rd in the Percentage Trophy.
A huge congratulations to all students who participated in Track & Field Club this season. We have loved seeing so many students give the sport a go, challenge themselves and develop their skills.
We wish our AIC boys all the very best as they compete at their final lead-up meet on Wednesday, 16 September, ahead of team selection for the AIC Track & Field Championships on 8–9 October in Week 1 of Term 4. Best of luck, boys!
Celebrating Primary Sporting Success
Congratulations to Jordan, Year 4, who recently represented Australia at the Spartan Kids World Championship and was selected as Vice Captain of Team Australia.
Competing on a challenging 6.3km course through former Winter Olympic mountain terrain, Jordan tackled an impressive 32 obstacles and finished 11th in the world — just 12 seconds outside the Top 10! A fantastic achievement and a wonderful example of perseverance, determination and giving your best.
If you would like to share your sporting success, no matter how big or small, I would love to hear about it. Please send the details to b.shields@stpeters.qld.edu.au

Primary Sport Standards
The St Peters Primary Sport Standards provide clear benchmarks to support skill development, consistency and a love of sport across all year levels.
Aligned with the PYP Learner Profiles and our Upper Primary HEART Framework, the standards support students to develop both their physical skills and personal character. They encourage students to reflect on their progress, demonstrate positive sporting behaviours and set goals for improvement.
We encourage parents to continue engaging with the standards and celebrating their child’s progress throughout the year. Together, we can continue to build a strong, connected sporting culture where every student has the opportunity to grow, contribute and enjoy their sporting journey.
