QGSSSA TRACK & FIELD
Well done to all the girls who attended training during the first few weeks of Term 3! Your commitment is commendable, and it's great to see such strong enthusiasm early in the season. As we prepare for the QGSSSA Track & Field Championships, all students intending to represent the College must attend training consistently. Please check the St Peters App for session times across all events to ensure you’re up to date. If you have any questions about the QGSSSA Track & Field season, please don’t hesitate to see Miss Knight.

- Students who are involved in other Term 3 sports are expected to attend at least one Track & Field Session outside of their training schedule.

Girls will be emailed a form each week, which they are required to complete by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, to confirm their attendance. If they are unable to attend, they need to email Miss Knight to advise of their absence.
Uniform for the 2025 Season:
- St Peters Track & Field singlet – compulsory for meets
- New St Peters grey training shirt – compulsory for training and meets
- St Peters bike pants/shorts – NO other coloured bike pants/shorts are permitted
- New St Peters sports jumper – optional, but meet venues do get cold during Term 3
- No slides, Birkenstocks or Crocs are permitted. Students must wear enclosed shoes to, during, and from training and meets
The QGSSSA lead-up meets are a crucial part of our preparation for the Track & Field Championships in Week 10. These meets provide excellent competition practice and play a significant role in our team selection process.
qgsssa Winter Fixtures – Netball, Hockey, Volleyball & Tennis
Congratulations to all teams on a successful first two rounds! All results and ladder positions can be found on the QGSSSA website. Please check the St Peters App for fixture times and locations for this week’s home game.
Netball Focus Round – Saturday 2 August
This Saturday is Netball Focus Round! Please join us to cheer on the Opens at 8:30am on Harts Road Courts. I would like to thank the students and P&F group in advance for their support. A reminder that all non-playing spectators must be in full school uniform.
Training Attendance
As we continue striving for personal and team excellence in our sporting pursuits, it’s important to remember the value of regular training attendance. Being present at training not only improves team performance but also builds a culture of respect, commitment, and unity.
If a student is unable to attend a session, they must notify the relevant Sports Coordinator in advance. This allows coaches to plan effectively and helps maintain team cohesion.
We understand that balancing school, sport, and other commitments can be challenging. If any student is finding it difficult to manage their schedule, we encourage them to visit Sports House for a chat with our staff. We’re here to help you find practical solutions.

In Week 1, Head of College, Tim Kotzur joined us to present the Open uniforms to our 2025 QGSSSA Open Hockey, Netball, Tennis, and Volleyball teams and our BSRA Open 1st VIII crew.
It was wonderful to have parents attend the presentation as we celebrated the girls' achievements before the start of the season. During the presentation, Mr Kotzur spoke about the honour of representing St Peters at the highest level and the importance of being role models for our younger students. He also spoke about the significance of our motto ‘Plus Ultra’, encouraging the girls to strive for personal and team excellence in their respective Sports. We thank Mr Kotzur for joining us and motivating the girls.
