Building Connections and Elevating Experiences at St Peters Springfield
At St Peters Springfield, our commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom. It lives in the moments we create for students and families, the environments we nurture, and the continuous learning we embrace as a community. In Term 1 and into Term 2, we have seen a number of exciting initiatives take shape, each one driven by a focus on building connections and elevating experiences for every member of our College community.
Twilight Tour Showcases the Heart of St Peters Springfield
On the Tuesday 6 May, our Enrolments Team led a fantastic Twilight Tour, welcoming prospective families to experience the warmth, vibrancy, and spirit of St Peters Springfield firsthand. The event was well attended, providing an opportunity to showcase our facilities, community, and unique approach to Christian co-education. Another tour occurred earlier this week, and we have another to come later this year.
Significant progress has been made within our enrolment growth, with both Prep and Year 7 for 2026 tracking toward capacity far earlier than anticipated. This strong interest reflects not only the hard work of our Enrolments, Events, and Marketing teams but also the authentic, welcoming environment our entire College community helps foster every day.
Enhancing Environments and Experiences Through Facilities Work
Behind the scenes, our Maintenance Team continues to raise the bar in the presentation, safety, and functionality of our school. Recent highlights include the construction of a dedicated water run for our Prep students, a small project with a big impact on daily learning and play, and broader garden regeneration across the College (with more to continue over the coming months).
In addition to repurposing spaces within the College to better support evolving needs, the team has played a key role in supporting special events such as the Twilight Tours, Year 8 Experience Day and the Cross Country Carnivals. These contributions ensure that each College event runs smoothly in a safe, well-presented environment, while continually enhancing the aesthetics and compliance of our facilities for everyone who learns and works here.
Prioritising Learning and Growth for Our People
A culture of continuous improvement is central to St Peters Springfield, not just for students, but for our staff as well. Both of our core Administration team members participated in a significant professional development day at the end of Term 1, strengthening their skills and knowledge to better support our community.
Meanwhile, our Hearts Café team recently visited the Indooroopilly campus to draw inspiration from their hospitality offering and bring fresh ideas back to Springfield. Similarly, our Enrolments staff are preparing for visits to Ironbark and Concordia Lutheran College later this month, learning how other schools with shared values nurture family engagement and shape meaningful experiences for their communities. These opportunities to connect, learn, and grow ensure we remain at the forefront of best practice, while staying true to our distinct St Peters culture.
Looking Ahead…
- As we move through Term 2, several exciting projects and initiatives are on the horizon:
- A realigned phone system, going live soon, will streamline communication by allowing families and community members to directly reach different areas of the College more efficiently.
- The signing of a new space at the Junior High Precinct, known as ‘SPOSA Outlook,’ will soon provide a dedicated area for Old Scholar engagement and community connection.
- Continued cultural celebrations and themed specials through Hearts Café, fostering joy and inclusivity for students and staff.
- A range of facilities projects led by our Maintenance Team, focused on enhancing the presentation, usability, and aesthetic appeal of key areas throughout the College.
Connected, Purposeful, and Always Growing
Every initiative underway at St Peters Springfield, from enrolment milestones and campus improvements to professional learning and community engagement, reflects our ongoing commitment to building connections and elevating experiences. Together, as a College community, we continue to shape an environment where every student, family, and staff member can flourish.
